Have a dilemma...

I want to study neuroscience and have 2 college choices.

College 1 is in the Top 20, but not HPYSM. But its undergrad neuroscience program is among the best. They have a strong major with many course offerings, neuro awards and student honor societies, many research centers including an affiliated med school with many clinical research opportunities, etc. I'm thinking about going pre-med and doing something neuro-related in the end (neurology, psychiatry maybe) so I can volunteer and shadow in the med school's teaching hospital in these fields. Here, I might have better connections to world-renowned neuro professors for recs and alumni networking with other students who will be future leaders in the field (from them I can also learn of career opportunities, etc.).

College 2 is an HPYSM, which isn't so strong in undergrad neuroscience but it does have neuro opportunities for interested students, its just not as elaborate as in College 1 and more fundamental/less clinical. However, the general prestige in such a school tops all. The general alumni network at such a school is excellent, but maybe specifically for neuro the networking at the other college will be better. I'm not sure if a mere diploma from an HPYSM and ok GPA/ECs/etc. will be better (i.e. landing job or grad/med acceptance) than a diploma from a top-20 but with very focused neuro stuff on my resume. Plus I would personally enjoy studying neuro more than studying just regular bio.

Help please :)
