I am an incoming freshman at UCSB, admitted with an Undeclared major. I am very interested in becoming a PA and I know that there are specific requirements that must be met when applying to a PA program. I am wondering what it is best to major in. I want to get ahead and make sure I am on the right track in the classes I am taking.
advice is easy to look up on the web. For example https://www.aapa.org/become-a-pa/ spend some time looking at programs and build yourself a list of requirements that satisfies most or all programs. The number of required classes for med school isn’t that big and people can do it with any major; I’d bet its the same for PA programs.
when you start at ucsb go talk to an advisor. http://www.duels.ucsb.edu/academics/health In fact you’ll have free time at orientation, maybe you can even set up something then if they are available.
