Prospective screenwriting major-Should I apply EA or RD?

Hello! I am a rising senior planning to apply to Chapman’s screenwriting program at Dodge. I would apply EA, bit I am having a bit of trouble with the LOR. Most of the creative projects I have done were on my own, so I don’t have someone as of right now who can write one for me. However, I am taking a short story class next year, so I could potentially get one from him. As of right now, I’m a bit worried that the EA deadline would be too soon into the year for me to get a quality LOR from him, but I’m also worried that most of the spots for screenwriting will be filled through EA applicants and I won’t have a good chance if I wait until RD. What do you guys think I should do?

You still have a chance if you apply regular decision, screenwriting is not one of the majors that require all applicants to apply EA. If you will have a stronger application later on, then wait for regular decision.
