Protest College Board's exclusive summer SAT test for wealthy gifted students

College Board and the National Society for the
Gifted and Talented have partnered to offer an exclusive official SAT test in August to students who pay $4500 to attend a prep test program on the campus of Amheret College. College Board has told the media that the students will be sent reports stating that they took the test in June so that colleges won't know that these students had the advantage of taking an August test that was not available to tens of thousands of other students. Read recent articles in New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Chronicle of Higher Education and more... let College Board know that tampering with score reports, telling students to lie about their test date on college applications, and offering an summer test to the wealthy and gifted, is unacceptable.

It surely is an unnecessarily exclusive, regressive initiative. Although the elitist symbolism is salient, there won’t really be any significant harms to anyone stemming directly from this. The number of students at the program will be small, and they will have still earned their scores even though they enjoy a unique summer date. There are more pressing sources of inequity to deal with.

May I simply protest the OP’s posting of an unnecessary and redundant thread?

If you’re a student, look about 3-4 threads below your own . . . and you will find the one that was already posted here.

If you’re a parent, look here[/url”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1347698-college-board-offers-summer-sat-only-elite-prep-class-kids.html]here.

And, yes, I agree that the “summer test for the wealthy” is absolutely unfair . . . but your complaint will be more effective if it is voiced in the existing threads.
