Proximity to nuclear power plants/dumps

I come from a location where everyone if trying to rid the state of all nuclear power plants. How close is the nearest reactor and are there any nuclear dumping sites near Bryn Mawr?

Wow, that's a weird question.

Weeeeell, according to ( INSCDB: Maps: US NORTHEAST ) there are a few power plants sorta kinda close to Bryn, including the notorious Three Mile Island plant (partial meltdown back in '79). The closest, though, is the one in Limerick, which is in the same county, about 24 miles away by mapquest
( Driving Directions from Limerick, PA to Bryn Mawr, PA ). There don't seem to be any dump sites in PA.

Eh...but of course this is all information I got through wikipedia, mapquest, and google searchs.

I bet you didn't visit the campus. It is in a very affluent area: the "Main Line" of Philadelphia. I don't think you have to worry about nuclear power plants and dumps.

I visited other schools in PA and found that the people in PA seem to like nuclear power. They have more nuclear power plants than any other state and they want more. I heard this from someone on the plane while flying back. The person was working for the company that was planning to build more nuclear plants in the state. You would think they would learn from TMI. 24 miles is a little close for comfort. I think I'll check out the stats on the plant before making any decision. Probably, nothing will happen during a particular four year period, but nuclear power really scares me.

Thank you the info on the school.
