every now and then for when the curves are officially posted!

Is it really 223??????!!!!!!!

thanks for all of the support ..... going from a 167 to a 204 was not easy ... but not impossilbe in any sense... I just reviewed all questions in the Blue Book, and took PSATs from previous years (01,02,03, etc).... I then reviewed strategies I did not understand..... I did all of this in a 6-8 month period....so i did not cram all of it in in october (actually, i did most of the studying over the summer).... and theres my story..
For many a 204 isnt great for a PSAT, but for me it was a big accomplihsment considering i dont do tht great on collegeboard exams .......a commended title would make me even happier!

And I hope that the SAT has better curves!

I don't know gxing....I was joking and saying that CB should have two cutoffs, one for Sat. and one for Wed.

congrats vinny380, way to go

Congrats vinny!! Argh I need to make it!

that is quite remarkable Vinny. had you any prep before you took it last year?

well, we have a basic idea of the wednesday curve
anyone know how to estimate a saturday curve based on the information we have now?

NJ cutoff last year was 223 I think.

Saturday's curve
CR M W
80 80 80
78 77 80

(6 wrong in CR=66)

woops, i meant (7 wrong on CR = 66)

no.. last yr i was oblivious to this whole standardized test/collegeboard thing...... however, feb of soph year i found this site... and BAM! well, you know the rest

wow, a 37 point improvement is awesome!

is that 7 WRONG or 7 off the raw score?

B/c 7 wrong would mean like 9 off the raw score

I don't get this score distribution thing. Ppl in Taiwan get their scores before we do; those in NY get theirs before those in New Jersey (where the PSAT/NMSQT office is located)...weird

Alrite u got like 50 congrats u should feel good now so Im not gonna say congrats but..... Good job dude haha. Anyways, this is a direct example why collegeboard should determine curve after the students have taken the test but who knows maybe everyone else did really well so....
I hope i get over 216 though for National Merit Semi

I hope i get over 216 though for National Merit Semi in Cali!!!

For Saturday, 7 WRONG, aka 9 points off the RAW SCORE = 66 for Critical Reading.

Merm. The Midwest hasn't gotten ANY scores yet. It's not that the Guidance Conselors are holding them hostage-- they simply don't exisit yet. So don't complain, NJ people.

you will danish!!! just be optomisitic
