according to the curve and the psatextra, within what score range do you guys think you got?

if the curve is accurate (and is for wed)..... 2050-2150 .... bye bye semi-finalist =(

My cousin claims to have just gotten a 78 on his math...would this (assuming he's not lying to me) discredit or curve, or do the curves just differe from wed/sat tests?

^^^Not sure...maybe it was the satuday test

That would make sense if TONS of people messed up on the tile question, which seems to be the case. In the PSAT extra, collegeboard even had a little reminder for the problem that there were 5 tiles in every square, which seems to suggest that a good deal of people had that problem wrong.
If I get my scores tomorrow, I'll update in this topic.

I agree, the tiles question was confusing. I think that's the only one I missed. I wouldn't be suprised if the math curve was the same as usual except for 1 raw score point off.

So instead of say 80 76 74 ..... , it could be 80 78 74 ....

Sophie's curve does make sense. The writing was about the same while Math and CR were both a bit harder than last year's.

sophie, try to extrapolate a bit further, perhaps to 65, for us lower scorers. and did you take your's wednesday or saturday???!!!!!!

argh...my school does not release PSAT scores until a little before winter vacation - at least that's what they did last year. It's supposed to be a "christmas present" - more like a "christmas spoiler" for some if not most of us. I hate when my school does this...

my friend just told me 78 across the board. Is it possible? I know my friend and he does not usually lie about serious stuff like this. Goodness, there are so many variations of curves that the only way to know for sure is to get our own scores.

Does anyone know the cut-off in California for commended students, semi-finalists, etc.?

Im a Californian and commended was 203 last year and that is standard for everyone and is not done on a state to state basis so it should be around 203-204. I believe it is 216 or last year it was for semi-finalist, it could increase/decrease maybe by a point or so but 216-217 is most likely for semi finalist...

dekans, 78 for what?

Okay Has Anyone on CC really got their scores, If so it shouldnt be that complicated to find the curve!!! Sorry haha Im just anxious its cool If you guys dont have it yet but please refrain from these "fake" curves haha
