Thats convenient, momof3sons! I was going to offer to send copies of my DS's old PSAT printouts, as they come with the answers on them, but it sounds like the email route is much more practical.

momof3sons, do you send you the scale as well as the answers? Thanks for the information.

jackief, unfortunately, I did not ask that question when I placed the order for the answer key. :(
I have a feeling that I will know if they bomb the exam. ;)

Update for those of you who have asked about the answers/scoring scale. Today I had the answer key for the 2006 & 2007 PSAT's emailed to me by the Collegeboard, and the scoring scale is included.

I'm adding old PSAT tests to my shopping cart now.. Is the format the same in the oldest tests (2004 is the oldest currently available) and worthwhile to buy? I have another D coming up in the future so I thought I would a bunch now and have them for both.

Thanks

I just ordered a few test booklets. I wonder if College Board will send the answer keys with the booklets if I call them now. I think I'll give it a try.

OK, I called the collegeboard store and the guy I spoke to said he would send the answer keys to me in a PDF file and that I should receive them within 15-20 minutes. If that works, that's great since I won't receive the actual booklets for 7-10 days.

thanks for the info (and to Queen's mom in another thread to told me that 1. the 2004 tests are the same format and 2. the sat 07 test is in this years prep booklet)

being a person who much prefers online contact to the phone! I found this email and I think I will put in a request there and see how it goes

Jackief - just to let you know, the phone call took less than 2 minutes - I just told him which years I ordered tests for and my email address. I've already received the answer keys and I ordered them about 15 minutes ago.

LIMOMOF2,
I also did this really quickly via phone call-just giving them my order # for the test booklets. The answer keys arrived very quickly in a .pdf file.

momof3sons - they didn't even ask me for my order #. But yes, mine also arrived in a .pdf file.

yeah yeah ok guys, I just prefer email over phone calls.. Since they didn't answer my email I will call them tomorrow, don't doubt the easiness.

Jackief - wasn't trying to rub it in - just wanted to let people know it was an easy thing to do. No long explanations or anything.

didn't take it that way at all LIMOM.

just an update, the answer keys/scales for the years I requested via email arrived around noon today. Not as quick as the phone call route, but quick enough for me. I haven't looked at them closely yet, but it appears that the scores and scales for both test dates for a given year are all in one file, so for example you would just need to request the 2006 answers to get the whole set of 2006 scores and scales for both tests that year.

That's exactly right, jackief - they just asked me which years I ordered and didn't need to know specific test dates.

Glad you got your answer key. That would have been quickly enough for me as well - especially since I don't have the tests yet...........lol.
