PSU BS/MD...Deadline?

Hi guys
So i JUST finished applying to PSU. It is technically due today (It is 12:15AM Midnight) but I am not sure if everything will reach on time. I have sent transcripts and letters of rec through the mail for overnight delivery to University Park. However, I did not know that there would be another councilor sheet that needed to be turned in as well. I am going to ask my GC to fax it tomorrow.

Also, I sent my ACT reports from the official site, but how long does it usually take to reach? Should I fax that as well??

I am nervous, never been this disorganized.

4 essays? That was a bit too much...ugh.

^Don’t worry I am still applying  Not done yet. BTW there was a fourth essay?

The three I know are personal statement, the activitiy thing, strengths and weaknesses, whats the fourth? ****…

I have done over eleven essays. So i am pretty sure I can reuse one.

Yeah I just reused one. 3 essays for the BS/MD (What non academic activity most important to you(250), why med/psu/jefferson/accel.program (500), strengths and weaknesses (250). What i didn’t know we had was the personal statement. I just submitted my common app paper…

What councilor sheet? I never sent anything like that.

I’M WORRIED. Extremely.

It’s all goood

I JUST talked to some admissions person at Penn State and she said it’s ok if you don’t send that in if you already sent in your transcript!

SO relieved. I am an international applicant, so it would have been worse if I had to send it in!

Oh good. I sent in a transcript too. BUT I forgot to put down my applicant ID name on it. DOH!! I was in such a rush. I had to ship it overnight and the mail gets picked up at 7PM. I got to the post office at 6:55.

What should I do? Call/E-mail? Or should I just let it be (I have a very unique name)…

UGHHGHAGA

let it be. dont stress out.

wait where did it say the essays had to be 250, 500, 250 word limit? Mine were 780, 640, and 458. *** Are they gonna throw my app in the garbage?

There WAS no word limit. And I’m pretty sure about that. I am NOT going to freak out this time.

Mine was more like 1500 (why doctor, psu/jeff) , 300 and 400.

EDIT: I think so that batpad meant the number of words HE specifically wrote, not the limit.

Pretty sure there was one. This is what I copied and pasted down into a word doc…

Describe one non-academic activity during your high school years that has been most meaningful to you.

Please answer this question in 250 words or less

Write a personal statement indicating why you want to be a physician, why you want an accelerated program and why you’ve selected this Penn State / Jefferson program.

Please answer this question in 500 words or less

Describe what you think your strongest qualities are, as well as weaknesses that you would like to improve upon.

Please answer this question in 250 words or less

^Mine didn’t have the word limit.

^ Mine didn’t either.

Batpad, you must have copied down the info. BEFORE they had the new site make-over.

And I’m sure they won’t disqualify based on the word count because they never mentioned one and that most of the applicants will be overshooting anyways.

Just checked the printout of my application. There was no word count mentioned.

Ugh. Oh well, my essays still turned out pretty good even with the restrictions i guess. Glad it worked out for everyone else.

Happy B-day, JoePa!!!

hey guys, im guessing everyone here applied to psu/jefferson’s program. has anyone heard anything back about interviews yet?

i got my interview email a month ago

really mangofan? i got into the undergrad school, so maybe the interviews are still coming? idk babashah, keep me posted!

Got accepted to UG, rejected from bs/md. screw this school
