hello , needed to know where can i apply for psychology major under STEM.
thanks
? It depends on the college. At some places it’s called Cognitive Science, and will be a department like any other science department. At others, it will be part of the social sciences, most likely in the school of Arts and Sciences.
If you’re interested in psychology, why do you care what it’s called?
Have you asked because this might pertain to your immigration status?
Vassar counts psychology in its division with math and the natural sciences.
What do you mean by “under STEM”?
D21 is interested in psychology. Some schools (Rowan) offer a BA and a BS. Old Dominion has it in the sciences. There are many schools that offer it under the science area, which I guess leads to more of a research approach.
The cognitive angle leads to very interesting opportunities coupled with advanced degrees. Brother is a Phd in Neuro Psychology and works as a consultant doing lots of studies / research in human factoring as it relates to work flow in areas like transportation, shiftwork (think chemical plant), etc. He’s been a keynote speaker for CEOs looking to improve employee performance in a variety of industries.
That field is a marriage of human behavior (psychology) and hard sciences (how the brain actually works chemically, physiologically - how it drives human behavior). I believe he double majored in UG which may be a good option for you: Psych and Biology / zoology, )
Thanks all
