Psychology Department

Does anybody have any opinions about the quality of the psychology department, especially for those wanting to pursue PhDs in clinical psychology?

mm, I'm only a freshman, so I don't know as much as many. It's a good department here - not as renowned as Film, not as in need of new professors as Computer Science. It's fairly popular, which means the course offerings are very decent. There's plenty of opportunity for research if you're interested, which looks great if you're applying for graduate schools for phDs. There is a strong social and cultural component to the department (as opposed to the cognitive psychology that dominates mostly today) which you can avoid if you're wary of it. Overall, there are some FANTASTIC professors who are doing some extremely interesting and well-regarded research.
