Hi all,

Wondering if anyone on here has, or knows someone who has taken PTA courses, and courses at a 4 yr college at the same time. I can complete all my general eds at the 4 yr plus my degree courses and have an option to apply to a technical school who offers PTA courses. I would be accepting a spot on a wait list which can go from 1-3 yrs depending on when you get put on the list. In total I would only need to take an extra 45 credits that are specific to PTA.

I was thinking this is a good back up in case I do not get into DPT school first try because I will have fall back on career and can apply later for DPT school when my work experience may be more valuable. I have read this on DPT student forms. I will continue on with my BS degree because I feel that it will be help in terms of technical knowledge needed.

Opinions on if this is a good, or bad thing are appreciated. If workload is the only problem I am pleased to say I work only 6 hrs a week per semester in a fitness center doing assessments. I take about 12-15 credits per semester, and taking summer courses possibly winter depending on what is offered. I am registering with disability office this month because my doctor doesn't want to put me on stimulants, and would rather exhaust all natural remedies for concentration, focus, and memory improvement. I plan on volunteering on weekends if possible at a hospital, and then finding a clinic.

Thank you in advanced for the advice I am grateful for this website.
