Public Health Masters?

Graduating soon with a gpa of 2.44. Plan was to get into a Public Health masters program in Spring, however changed that to Fall of 2013. Meanwhile, I decided to take two public health courses at the PH program I want to apply to for the Fall. As well as try to get a job in the area of study. Came into undergrad with pre med mindset, tried taking bio and chem a few times since it was also required to declare public health as a major. However failed the courses miserably. Changed public health into my minor and took on human resource management as major. Want to pursue a masters in public health policy and hopefully go into public health hospital administration or something around that line.

Do I have a chance with the plan I created? The college that I am applying to for public health masters, does not do the 12 credit non matriculating anymore, so I can only take up to 2 courses- 6 credits before applying again.

What are my chances?

What kind of a career are you planning? Many if not most MPH students already have a bachelor’s degree in a health field.

I will be graduating with a degree in human resource management with a minor in public health. My initial major was public health ( therefore I have many of the electives and core courses needed for it), however I could not succeed in biology or chemistry and had to make public health into my minor.

I plan to use my human resource management knowledge to help in the field for hospital administration. I was planning to get into a program specifying in health policy and systems.

Should I take the visitor classes here ( only 2 classes- 6 credits) and use that to show if I can achieve success in a matriculating grad program or should I apply to a school as non matriculating that offers up to 12 credits, that way I have more to show I can do better?
