Do publications count for honors/awards? If it is, is publishing in a journal an international award?
It’s certainly an achievement. List it there –
But ultimately, it doesnt’ matter how you categorize it. Honor vs EC. It gets read and that’s what counts.
Hopefully the journal isn’t one of those “pay to get published” ones. Those would be a NEGATIVE.
If your work gets published in a peer-reviewed journal, put it on your resume. It isn’t an international award–it’s a publication, which is impressive if you were involved in the research that was the basis for the article.
Yeah, it was published in a peer-reviewed journal. I’m pretty confused though. In the activities section, there is a place for journalism/publication but it still asks you like hours spent per year and grades participated; does that mean how many hours I spent working towards the publication or like how long I spent editing it and citing sources…
