Does anyone have familiarity with the Business leadership program?

@2024gradmom - the fact that I can’t find anyone who has first hand experience with this program makes me kind of wary. I have also asked on the UPS parents’ Facebook page. The best anyone could come up with is a recent UPS podcast interview with a BLP student.

@Coun2316 Have you contacted admissions to put you in touch with someone, either a current student or recent grad? It’s a selective program within a small school… I wouldn’t expect these people to be all over the Internet. Our tour guide was in the program and she was awesome!

There are only about 550 students per class. The Facebook group was just started this year so only about 100 people. Not sure how many are in BLP per class, but I would be surprised if it is more than 30. So your chances of finding someone with a forum like this are small. Definitely ask UPS to give you a name and contact of someone in it

Initially, UPS seemed a good fit. The first few weeks we had a lot of support and the welcoming team was great. Unfortunately, during my first Seattle winter, I went into a deep depression and stopped working as usual and gradually going to a lot of classes. No one really reached out or noticed. I am much more mature now, but didn’t recognize at the time I was suffering from depression and wish I had had more support. My parents were not contacted about an ER visit for some passive suicidal thinking. The worst thing about this school - a medical leave for late withdrawal to help my GPA was not granted after 2 years of requests. I transferred schools after 2 years and am much happier. Although a while ago, I feel I should share this with people deciding on schools. Good luck to everyone!
