I meet the requirements for the University of Alabama full automatic scholarship + $2,500 for engineering majors, but I do not know if I should go to U of A or Purdue. I am instate for Purdue. I don’t have any acceptance letter to either school, but I believe that I will be accepted to both. If I get accepted where do you think I should attend?
engineering scholarship http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/out-of-state.php but
You may want to visit both and see which one you like better.
A fine engineering education can be had at both. Pick the school you personally like better (visit them) and that is acceptable to your budget.
I was in a similar boat. Purdue gives out good financial aid and scholarships to good in-state students. It was actually cheaper for me to go to Purdue in the end.
How is Purdue with out of state financial aid?
If you’re going to excel, than Purdue may be worth paying for because you may get to do research for top professors who can set you on a path to attend a top graduate program. Recruiting is also very national for Purdue.
However, if you’re just going to be average, take the scholarship. Then get a job.
