I have been accepted to both Purdue and Penn State University Park as a computer science major for BS. I am really confused about which college to attend. Both will cost almost the same. Which college do you suggest?

Both are great schools for science/engineering and they’re both fairly equal as far as rankings go. I believe Purdue is ranked slightly higher in Comp science than Penn state, however Penn State’s overall university ranking is higher.

I believe it comes down to which campus and atmosphere you prefer. Both are big party schools, Purdue’s weather is usually colder than Penn State’s.

I’d give an edge to Penn State because of their alumni network (supposedly #1 for public schools in the US).

I’d say Penn State just because it’s closer to places that would be of interest to an international student: NYC, Philadelphia, Boston… the mid-west, besides Chicago, just doesn’t offer as much in terms of sight-seeing.

Thanks guys. Is there anyone who was in a similar position as I am right now. I would love to hear from you.
