Putney School

I think Putney sounds good for Christi, too. High Mowing is awfully tiny....but that is just my opinion because I know that 125 students is too small for my kids' tastes. I have been to both schools several times and I would also agree that Putney is a lot like High Mowing, but without as much of a Waldorf influence.

Thanks for bumping this. Small schools don't sound too bad to me...i'd actually prefer a smaller one as opposed to a larger one but none of the schools i've seen have too many kids for my taste. I really like the art programs though.

Bump...OP wanted Putney info.

My daughter is having second thoughts about applying to Putney - she may be artsy, but there is a conservative side to her that may not be represented at Putney. She was a trifle disturbed by the photos archived on the website from the school dances. None of the kids really dressed up in formalwear or anything resembling an attractive outfit - she does not want to date a boy who wears plaid and duct tape to a prom :).
