I'm only an incoming junior so I don't know much about college apps, but I was wondering if recreational ballet counts as an extracurricular that I can put down. I've done it for about 7-8 years, and quit at around freshmen year of high school, so I don't know if it really counts? The classes were just for fun and I wasn't very good at it lol, but I feel like it's shaped me as a person. If I do put it down, should I include which studio I went to? Or do I just put something down like Ballet - 8 years? Thanks in advance!

You’re only supposed to put stuff down that you did in high school - the Common App gives you boxes to check off which describe the years you participated, and they only give 9, 10, 11, 12, and PG (post-graduate).

dont include anything from before high school.

The two posters above me are right. There is no room for activities earlier than high school. :’(
