Q: Can I track the box? A: No (and not that way either, and probably never)

The box falls into the MyUSPS grey area. It is not in fact a box. It is officially designated a “large flat envelope”.

What is a large flat envelope? You may ask.
A Large Flat Envelope is the only mail type that is not automatically tackable.

The two options with auto tracking are:

  1. package: as I’m sure you all know, but package != Large Flat Envelope, so no dice.

  2. letter: ‘ahah!’ You say, ‘I am the smartest and have found the way to track this! It is a letter!! I will even be able to see that it is from USC!’
And to you, foolish hopeful sole, I say:
You fool: the only way this will work is if you re recieving a rejection (not confiremed, but I’m pretty sure every letter shows up here)

This was obviously done purposely. USC wants you to have a hellish multi day wait. I suspect they would sooner start their own postal company than allow you to escape your fate.
So, C.O. 2021: no, you can’t see it.
All future classes: unless something changes, neither can you. Use the gosh darned USPS site for info before you come asking here though.

Does this mean that rejections can be tracked? Since they are letters.

@filmstudent2 I’m not sure, which is why I put the thing in parenthesis. I don’t know if letter tracking can be opted out of.

@TreeLights USC sends an open house invitation to SDA admits. Is this trackable since it is a small envelope?
