Hello Everyone,

Just found your forum, its very informative. If anyone can help I would appreciate an answer to this question.
20 years ago I received a pell grant at a vocational college, went several years on/off forced by parents, never graduated, now I am 43 and would love to go to college, does any one know if the pell grant ever times out and starts over, or is it only once in your life?

Thank you in advance for all your info.

Pells are awarded based upon your annual FAFSA filing, meaning they are reevaluated every year. After 20 years, your financial situation has likely substantially changed. It would be impossible to tell you whether or not you qualify based upon the info you’ve provided.

What’s your income, non-retirement assets, and how many in your family. That’ll give a little more to make a wild guess at.

As long as you haven’t received a bachelor’s degree, you can be awarded a Pell grant if you’re income eligible.
