<p>I had a couple of questions, wondering if someone could answer them.</p>

<li><p>I am an international applicant, is it in any way advantageous/ disadvantageous if I am the first applicant from my school applying to MIT?</p></li>
<li><p>Most of the applicants applying from my country are those from the metropolitan cities. I live in a rural area, is it advantageous/ disadvantageous for me in any way?</p></li>

<p>In my experience, as an international EC, the answers are:
No and No
It is however worth telling your EC this. We do need to provide some context to MIT to help them understand why your achievements are particularly impressive or unimpressive.</p>
