Hey guys, I wanted to know what my chances are of becoming a Quest Bridge finalist. I meet all the requirements in terms of financial need and GPA, but my ACT scores seriously suck. I have a 21 composite, and a really bad math subscore of 17. Of course I do plan on taking the ACT again but it won’t be in time to meet the application deadline. My point is, I keep getting emails and letters from them and now i’m kinda interested in applying but i’d hate to spend so much time on essays and getting recommendation letters when I have no chance. The website says that the average ACT scores for finalist are usually >28. Do I really have a chance with a 21?
Is there a legitimate reason why you made a low score on the ACT? Regardless, I think its worth the effort if you meet the requirements in all other areas! The average is just that- the average. People above and below the average still get accepted! Plus, there’s a space to indicate whether or not youll be taking upcoming SAT and ACT tests so make sure to indicate that! I’m also applying, so good luck to you if you decide to apply!
