i got an email from questbridge and read about it
it seems really nice and all but i don't think i stand much of a chance
although my financial situation fits in...i don't think my academic achievements are enough
on the site it said that most applicants are top 5% and the high gpa...my gpa is barely 3.7 and i am definitely not in the top 5%
should i bother to apply? will it be helpful to me in any way?

Ds1 did QB and was a finalist but not matched. In the regular round he was accepted into one of his QB schools, but he chose another, non-QB school instead.

He had a good GPA, but because of his highly competitive school he was nowhere near the top 5%. Had good test scores and ECs.

One of the best things about QB is it gets you thinking and working early. Even if you aren’t a finalist or matched, the work you do on the extensive application can be recycled for other apps. It definitely wasn’t time wasted.
