@jruesmith7 No, they do not. They get them on July 5/6, based on the location of their SCHOOl, not on the location from the IP address.
@thetex Can you tell us the trick they used to get their scores please?
@suzyQ7 Some colleges will upload received AP scores to online portals before scores get released to students. Many believe today to be when colles will begin to do so. So far, however, it looks like no colleges have to yet to.
Are you sure the Reddit people aren’t just joking? If they’re non seniors how could they have accessed them? @thetex
Some girl tweeted “thank you Irvine for letting me see my scores early”
BYU and Stanford and many other colleges have posted scores. I doubt mine (Duquesne) has, but I’ll check. Maybe I’ll call them today (crap are they even opened on Saturdays?!) to see if I got credit…
I’m attending University of Maryland at College Park, and I was able to access my AP scores early through them.
@RybkaShredder Don’t be shy.
@horsesizedduck I’m sorry, what?
@RybkaShredder The scores, you should share them.
I already did in another thread. But I can repeat them if you’d like
AP English Language and Composition - 4 (Self-studied. Didn’t want to take ENGL101 in college, and I succeeded)
AP Chemistry - 5
AP Calculus BC - 5
AB Subscore - 5
@RybkaShredder Congrats! The University of Georgia hasn’t posted AP scores yet… I’ll probably just have to get a VPN and check them Tuesday morning!
@PhilipL I don’t think VPN won’t work this year. I know it worked last year, but it appears they have learned the exploit. The school admin’s access is based on the school’s location, not the IP’s location. Why would they not do that for student access as well?
See: https://professionals.collegeboard.org/testing/ap/scores/online-score-reporting/access-schedule
** “Please note that your access day and time depends on the location of the school or district with which you are affiliated, not your physical location at the time of accessing scores.”**

@psywar I think that only applies to educators.
@Weatherman101 I hope you’re right, I’ll crank up my VPN to test it out, but I wonder why they’d have this mechanism for educators and not use it for students. Good luck!
I’m sure the CB knows it and has always known it. I doubt very much that there is anything that a 17-18 y/o person has come up with to circumvent the system that more experienced administrators have not already thought of.
There is always a proxy that works
I actually don’t get why they make the AP score release so dramatic. 2.3 million students sit for the AP exams each year, and 3.8 million students sit for the PSAT each year. This year, the PSAT scores were rolled out online all at once… with all the vast ‘improvements’ on score release from the CB, you’d think they’d load them all up online at once. Instead of this ridiculous location based rollout if you are a student, and school location based rollout if you are a counselor, and early rollout to colleges - even before students see the grades!
According to the AP email sent out today, it does appear a VPN will work just fine:
“It’s almost time to get your 2016 AP® scores. Online access begins on July 5. The exact day you can view your scores will be based on your physical location.”
