Hey guys,

I had a question that has been bothering me for a while now...and now it's time to ask you guys :-)

Do colleges, such as UCs and Ivy Leagues, take into account +s and -s in grades? For example, do they count a B- different from a B different from a B+? I know that it has no affect in terms of GPA, but does it make any sort of difference or have any sort of effect otherwise?

In addition, here's another question. Say I'm planning to major in English. Last semester, I earned a B in English and an A- in Trig; this semester, I earned an A- in English and a B+ in Trig. Will colleges like the fact that I got an A- in English second semester, even though I got a B+ in Trig? Any positives or negatives at all?

That's about it. Please reply :-)
