Hi, I've been looking at colleges and Carnegie Mellon looks like a good candidate, I just have a few questions.

First, how is the undergraduate business program/economics program/computational finance (financial engineering?) there?

Also, what is the policy on dual degree/double majors? I saw on the website that they had a few interdisciplinary programs but I was wondering if I could pick my own e.g. business and computer science.

Any input is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

All CS majors are required to complete a minor. Business is a possible (and common) minor choice for CS students.

The undergraduate business program is excellent (ranked top 10 by USN&WR). The undergraduate economics program is also very strong and CMU offers a very interesting dual degree in economics and mathematics in case you are interested.

CMU also has top-notch research in mathematical finance. In fact, it is one of the strongest research areas in the math department and the business school.
