I completed 86 units in CC and I'm an accounting transfer student who wants to transfer to CSUN. I know it's impacted major. Is there any scale of GPA that guarantees my acceptance. for example: 3-4 or 3.5-4.

Thanks for any info!

No scale of GPA will guarantee your acceptance. Based on CSUN’s acceptance rate however, if you have most of the undergraduate classes required for pre-accountancy, which you can find on their website, you should be able to get into the program with around a 3.2 or higher GPA.

CSUN isn’t impacted for Transfer students, so I think you’ll get in just fine :)

Is anyone know details about their accounting program ?
Any info is blessed thank you so much

I am an accounting major at CSUN and would rank them overall with an 8/10.

To get into CSUN’s accounting major, you have to apply as a pre-accountancy major and have taken all the pre-accountancy classes. Financial accounting and business communication rhetoric are classes you would have to have gotten at least B’s in, all the rest at least C’s. The first upper division accounting class that all accounting majors have to take usually has 120 spots. Not sure if more than that apply and how they choose the 120 though. As for their business department, from my experience, it is handled very well with them sending you emails about new classes, internship/job opportunities, and other information you need to know. CSUN is also pretty well-known in Southern Cali for business.

I also commented on your post about CSULB, and like I said in that post, I would choose the location that is more convenient, but there is no doubt that CSUN has a good accounting program.

Thank you so much for your comment in both threads I really appreciate that. I live in San Fernando Valley so my university will be CSUN based on convenient location. Furthermore thunderman15 what’s the minimum GPA that I need to have so I can transfer to CSUN?
