Hello, I’m sorry to ask but does anyone know how sending dual enrollment transcripts works?
In my junior year, I took a class at my highschool where, as long as we got a B or better, we recieved community college credit. Unfortunately, I did not realize until now that I needed to report this outside of my high school transcript. I am worried that I will now be too late for my EA deadlines and will pushed in to RD…
I have looked up how to send official transcripts through my CC, but it says that to send a single electronic transcript (which I assumed might be faster?) to one college I have to pay $8.25… is this normal? Do I really have to individually pay to send transcripts to every single college I apply to? I’ve tried looking up if the colleges I’m applying to require official dual enrollment transcripts. So far Twin Cities explicitly says they allow self-reporting for DE but for the rest I can only seem to find information about high school transcripts…
Also, if I am currently taking a dual enrollment class, do I need to submit an official transcript to the colleges I am applying EA for, or would I only submit it when Mid-Year Reports are due?
I will be trying to reach out the DE-coordinator at my CC, but I just wanted to see if anyone on here might have advice. I will also be trying to ask my high school counselor about this, but I don’t honestly think she will know. Thank you all for any help!!
It varies school to school but my D self reported grades and then sent her official transcript to the school where she matriculated in the spring.

ahh, that’s reassuring, thank you!!
See if your HS counselor would be willing to upload an official copy of your CC transcript when they upload your HS transcript. My kids both did this with their outside transcripts but it would obviously depend on your HS.

Oh, thank you for the idea!! I’ll check with her to see if that is possible : )
My oldest just used an unofficial transcript for the schools that accepted them—most said in the Common Ap that unofficial were fine. Then she sent a final official one at graduation. She was able to download the unofficial transcript straight from her student account at the university where she was taking classes.

I think yes it’s normal. It cost a lot to apply.
I think you need to ask each school. I don’t think it’ll impact deadlines unless you had a 10/15.
If they require an official, you send.
I know not everyone could afford but I see it as - you’ll be investing - for some $350k plus over four years so in that sense while these admission and other fees are annoying, they’re small in the grand scheme of things. I understand not all are able to afford, but then you can obtain a waiver. Work with the CC and your hs guidance counselor if this is your situation.
I would not ‘assume l’ an unofficial transcript though. I’d let your specific college tell you what they want. It’s not worth chancing on what other people experienced at other schools in my opinion. You want to ensure you follow the rules of your school.
Ask now, get your request in as needed and all will be fine.
