<p>if i am citing statistics or other sources in my essays, how do i cite them? do i do in text citations and throw in a works cited or do i say like, "according to uscensusbureau.com..."? </p>

<p>I don't really see the reason to be citing, as these aren't supposed to be like research papers.. they are supposed to be personal. However, special circumstances come up all the time and they aren't going to be wanting a cite page for your personal essay. I would do just as you mentioned above. "According to the publishers of TIME..." or something like that. I would just offer the advice to make sure it is necessary to mention this source at all, or the info that they gave you. Is it really so important? I only say this from fear of it sounding too much like a school paper.</p>
