Is it easier to get accepted into the business school if you are already a student at the law school of a particular university (or vice versa)? I know that for most universities, you have to apply independently to both in order to do a JD/MBA program, and I'm wondering if you would have any advantage of already being a student in one of the 2 programs.

Generally, the only advantage that you might gain is that stellar grades in one program may make your application that much more appealing. However, unless you have the work experience, recommendations from employers, and other criteria that business schools seek in the first place, your marginal increase in your chances at admission will not likely make a difference.
