I am hoping to go to Northeastern with as a pre-dental student, meaning I am required to take Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics. However, I do want to major in Cultural Anthropology which is part of The College of Social Sciences and Humanities. I also wanted to minor in biology, so that I could take some upper level biology courses. Both the minor and major is part of different schools.

Would I be able to complete those required classes, and still be able to major in cultural anthropology and minor in biology?

Please let me know! Thanks!

I do believe (based on content from another thread on this board), that taking Majors and Minors between colleges is definitely possible, and that the two colleges you are concerned with were, until last year, the same college will probably expedite the process. One thing you’ll probably want to look into are what credits are required in both programs ([Undergraduate Catalog 2009-2010](http://www.northeastern.edu/registrar/courses/welcome1011.html#sec)). You usually take four, four credit classes a semester, in addition to other one credit courses, generally labs, major seminars, etc. While it may be a bit early to do this, go through, look at how many credits the majors and minors (in addition to the pre-dental program) require, and try to figure out roughly how many semesters that would take you to complete.
