hey,
I know there was another thread with a set of questions, and I'm not sure if I should start a new one or not, but oh well..
My questions are:
1. It seemed like in the literature I read about Middlebury, skiing/snowboarding is a big deal up there. I'm from Seattle, so some of my friends ski, but it's not a big thing or anything. Will I be the only one not going up on the weekends? Or are there plenty of students for who it isn't a big thing?
2. I am interested in International Relations. Will Middlebury help me in after-graduation placement? Are they good at that type of thing?
3. I am just curious what people would think about my chances, esp. b/c my SATs are low.
GPA: 3.96, Full IB classes
SAT: 2160, R-720, M-690, W-750
Lots of extracurriculars, some leadership roles, etc.

By no means is skiing the only thing we do in winter. I don't ski, and I still have plenty of things to do on the weekend; it's not like the campus just empties.
Lots of students here are interested in International Relations. We have a great Career Services Office that has lots of events during the year and that taps into the extensive alumni network that we have.
And I think you have a great shot with your stats!

Thanks for answering my questions! I really like middlebury, I just hope I don't get too cold there!!! I'm so used to mild winters.
