"NYU is global, urban, inspired, smart, connected, and bold. What can NYU offer you, and what can you offer NYU? (200-400 words)"

Are we supposed to write about the school we are specifically applying to or just NYU as a whole and in general?

I did both. I talked about, say, extracurriculars that NYU offered and then talked about some classes and professors I want to study with.

I talked about nyu in general with a mention of the school i want. Mainly I think its looking for you to use those characteristics in your essay. The what can u offer part is pretty annoying because there isn’t much options that we can use for it. But good luck with your supplement

hey guys, I’m applying ED II to Stern and was wondering the same thing. At 400 words, should the focus of the essay primarily be on NYU as whole or the specific school?

@TsunamiSurf either way is fine. You just have to come out as unique. They just want to know two things:
- what kind of person are you
- What new addition would you have to the NYU community

@bobcat97 What did you write to make you seem unique? And what addition could I possibly provide to the NYU community? There’s not much I can provide.

I really focused on how I am a pioneer to help the nyu comunity
