<p>If a student (not freshman) decides not to purchase a meal plan or to purchase a smaller plan, like the Thrifty 20, must s(he) pay the Community Dining Charge of $197?</p>

<p>No they don’t. Daughter is a sophomore living on campus this year and she does not have a meal plan and we didn’t pay any charge to do so.</p>
