question about Physics C FR M2

would they take off for including constants in the answer for what additional quantities should be graphed to find the mass of saturn? like they had wanted R^3/T^2 but i included constants in my answer. i know it was stupid for including them but do u guys think they would take off credit for that? my teacher says most likely no but i would like a second opinion.

better yet, say they don't accept my answer with the constants for that part, does that also mean that i get the rest of the question wrong as well, like calculating the new values and filling in the chart and then graphing the data?

if it does then i can kiss that 5 goodbye. it's a shame how one stupid mistake can lead to such problems. in retrospect, i was probably better off getting a few more hours of sleep instead of cramming, as i might not have made that mistake had i been more attentive.

You shouldn't have too many points taken off for that... I don't think.

What I've heard is that Mechanics FR graders are very lenient whereas the E&M ones are more strict.

I just realised that while using the calculator to enter the values in the table given, I entered the values corresponding to R^2 inspite of writing R^3 (in m^3) in the first row. Surprisingly i got the graph as a straight line inspite of the wrong values so I thought that i'd done the question correctly.
Because of the careless error that i had committed i got the mass of the sun wrong in the last part of the question; though i explained my method and approach to the problem very clearly.
But the problem is that the mass of the sun that i got differs from its true value by a factor of 10^8 which i unfortunately did not realize while doing the exam. So what do you guys think, is this careless mistake going to cost me all the points for the last 3 parts of the question?

The rest of my paper went off quite well.........i couldn't get mech 3 (d), the equipotential line in E&M (1) and am not sure about the graphs in mech 1 and E&M 2 (but i think i did the graphs correctly).

Considering all of this and the fact that i might have made a small error or two; what kind of a score can i get? Is it an unrealistic hope to get a 4 or a 5?
(The mcq's were fairly simple..i attempted about 67/70 and am very confident about them.)

jm_87, you're obviously overestimating this exam. If you performed as you think, there's little chance you didn't get a 5 on both. You'll probably only lose a few points for the gravity thing
