If you want to send in a piano supplement, Princeton has very specific preferences: one of the 48 preludes/fugues of Bach, the 1st movement of a sonata by Beethoven, Mozart, or Haydn, and a 19th or 20th century solo work. Would there be any disadvantage if I don't follow those guidelines exactly? I was going to send in Scarlatti instead of Bach, and I'm currently playing a 3rd movement of a Beethoven sonata, not a 1st movement. I mean, I guess it's possible for me to pull up a piece that I played in the past and practice it like crazy, but just using the songs I'm currently playing would be a lot easier. Is that ok? Thanks!
