Question about Princeton Review Reading...

I recently started doing PR practice tests because I’ve run out of CB and Ivy Global practice tests. I’ve been averaging ~2 incorrect on Writing and ~2 incorrect on Math. However, I’ve been doing significantly worse on the reading… I feel like some of the reading tests (and particularly the questions) are pretty tough in comparison to the actual CB practice tests and other practice tests I’ve taken. I’ve consistently gotten 3-5 wrong on reading in the past (~15 practice tests), but after switching to PR, I’m getting significantly more wrong. Do you guys have similar experiences with using this book? Is this book absolute shit? I’ve seen mixed reviews… but I’m not experienced enough to judge the overall quality of the material.

@marvin100 What’s your opinion? I’ve heard you’re knowledgeable about this.

The book: https://www.amazon.com/Cracking-New-Practice-Tests-2016/dp/0804126003/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483415402&sr=8-2&keywords=cracking+the+new+sat

You cannot use fake tests to diagnose your score; they’re for practice only. That’s my view and always has been. Best of luck!

That book is actually quite hard for me also for both reading and writing

Generally PR books are pretty accurate in terms of difficulty compared to the CB tests, but maybe in this case they are not. Barron’s are usually known for being harder. Nevertheless, practice is still practice. If you are looking online for another SAT book, books on Amazon that have 5 stars are usually pretty good. For example, Ivy Global SAT books are 5 stars on Amazon.
