<p>Usually, but they probably won’t respond as quickly as they do during the school year unless they are teaching summer courses. One of my profs went to a lot of conferences in various states over the summer and didn’t always have internet connection, so depending on their plans they may take time to get back to you.</p>
<p>Unless they’re an adjunct being a professor is a full-time, year-round position. Summers are generally the best time of year since there aren’t any classes to deal with and research work can get done.</p>
