I qualified for the 2016 physics olympiad national semifinals, and my teacher has documentation proving that I received a high enough score to do so. However, I am not listed among the students that took the exam on their website, despite my teacher submitting my semifinals paperwork. I will be listing this academic award on my college application, but I am worried about colleges fact checking the official website and not noticing my name. As my teacher has official documentation from the organization detailing my qualification but the organization seems to not, will I be at risk of “lying” if I put it on my resume?
Your teacher needs to contact the organization and get your name on their list. If you are not on their list you did not officially receive the award.
^^^Agreed – ask the teacher to get it straightened out so it is correct on the website.
