I have been reading a lot of things on college websites that say that the early you send in your app, the more likely you are to get an interview and interviews help your acceptance chances. Is it worth sending your apps (at least part 1) in way before the deadline. I hope to get into my first choice school early so I don't want to have to pay $700+ if I don't have to. Will it really affect my admissions chances either way?

bump please

It completely depends on the colleges you are looking at. Some require interviews, some recommend them, some don't even offer them. Also depends when you will get your notification. If you applied to a school with rolling admissions in October (Penn State is one of many), you could be hearing soon whether or not you were accepted. Most other schools have flat deadline, many are in December, and you would hear back in March.
(Many schools have Early decision but I do not think that is what you are referring to, most of those deadlines were Nov 1 or Nov 15. They will be notifying students in December.)
What schools are you looking at?

what about Ivies???

For the Ivies, it doesn't matter when you send in your application as long as it is before the deadline. Sending your application early will not help you in the admissions process.
