I was checking out the credit given for different scores on AP exams, and for Spanish it says:

Spanish Language: If you got a 5, then you can get 3 points of credit only if you take a 3200+-level class and get a B or above in it

It said the same thing for Spanish Literature.

I got fives on both AP exams, and I was wondering, if I take one 3200-level Spanish class, will I get six points from my AP exams and 3 points from the class itself? Or will I only get six overall (as in, they only give points for 1 Spanish AP exam, max).

Thanks.

They probably limit the total credit you can get to 6 units total for each domain (for example, I was eligible for credit for both AP Physics Exams - B and C - and they still only gave me 6 points). Though it doesn't really matter very much at all, for two reasons:

They limit the amount of AP credit you can ge at Columbia College to a maximum of 16 units total.

Most AP credits can't be used to fulfill a major or core requirement, so they kind of serve as "blank" elective units, which really do nothing if you don't plan on graduating early. They don't even help you graduate on time, to be honest, because the vast majority of Columbia students will take -way- more credits than required to graduate, anyway.
