Let’s say I apply to the college of arts and sciences but after being accepted I want to switch to the school of education or csom - can that be done? is it easy to do? just out of curiousity. thank you! also, not assuming i’ll get in, hahah.

It can be done, for the most part. A lot of it has to do with how much extra room there is in the school you’re trying to transfer into. For example, it will be just about impossible for anyone in the class of 2016 to transfer into CSOM since it’s over capacity for that year. Historically, it seems CSOM is always the hardest to transfer into, with few to zero spots open. It usually requires an extremely high GPA.

I would suggest thinking long and hard about switch school you’d like to apply to and go for the one you’re most attracted towards.

*It will BE impossible to transfer into CSOM this year as an extra 140 kids accepted their spots.

Thank you! Sorry for the late response, I forgot I had posted this. Another question - do you think they discriminate based on what school you apply to when selecting candidates for the presidential scholarship?

the VAST majority of presidential scholars are A&S

^ Perhaps that’s because the majority of undergraduates are in A&S.

^ That’s part of it, yes, but a disproportionate number of presidential scholars are A&S. Breakdown:
2013: 12 A&S, 1 CSOM
2014: 12 A&S
2015: 15 A&S, 1 CSOM, 1 LSOE, 2 undecided
2016: 10 A&S, 2 CSOM, 1 LSOE, 3 undecided
