This is a sort of random question, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how accepting Hillsdale students are of nerdiness. And, on an even more random note, whether or not there are many Harry Potter fans among the student body.

Thanks so much for your time!!

Extremely nerdy. But that is more geared towards The Lord of the Rings series than anything else, due to J.R.R. Tolkien’s rich language and reputation as a Christian apologist.
I know that the “Settlers of Catan” game and all its variations are heavily played as well.

Thanks!! LOTR is awesome.

“Nerdiness?” Sure you will find those qualities at Hillsdale, and super-patriots, religious apologists, atheists, anarchists, science-geeks, sports-wonks, pacifists, computer gamers, mean girls, nice girls, … Just like any place else, ALL kinds of kids go to Hillsdale College.

A much bigger difference on campus I would say is the stronger presence of a conservative political viewpoint, and a MUCH stronger presence of religious debate (primarily among the differing Christian sects, but all religions get their voice).
