Question About Summer Maintenance Job

Hi!

Recently I signed up for the Rutgers housing summer maintenance job as I really liked how the work hours did not end late. I was called in to get an interview, but being a girl, I was a bit worried as I’ve read some comments about the job being very physically strenuous even for guys. Would anyone care to share their experiences or know anything more about the job? Thank you!

A friend of my son’s did this, 2 summers in a row, I think. He did stuff like general clean up, throwing things out, painting, etc. I think he got free summer housing for it? I would just ask them, ‘what exactly will I be doing?’
