Is it better to have a really impressive teacher like a doctor out of Yale write the recommendations or a teacher who is not as impressive but really likes you and knows you well?

I guess what I am trying to say is do top colleges look at the credentials for the teacher doing the recommendation?

Choose a teacher who can write decently, because “I LOVVVV THIS STUDENT” does not a good impression make, however true. Other than that, their credentials really don’t matter.

Choose the teacher who knows you well. A recommendation letter from a “doctor out of Yale” is really not that impressive if that person has never worked closely enough with you to know your character.

thanks a lot thats what i figured but i guessed it wouldnt hurt to ask
