Hello, I am not applying for prep schools but some of my peers are and they've told me about the SSAT. Is it allowed to take the test, but to not have any schools as score recipients?
I want to take the test just to see how I do on it in comparison to my peers, not for prep school admission.

Yeah! Just don’t add any schools as score recipients and they’ll mail the results straight to you. Be mindful, it does cost money for a registration fee and you may need to travel somewhere, but I think it’s great that you want to take it “for fun”. :D

Great, thanks! I actually have a fee waiver from a prep school when I was going to apply. Could I use it, but not list the school down as a recipient?

Uhm, I’m not too sure. You could use the fee waiver and try not listing the school, but even if it does get sent to them, you won’t be “applying” since you haven’t inquired, interviewed, sent in recommendations, essays, grades, etc. :)
