Question about the supplement

First Question: How long are they looking for? A well-written paragraph or two or a full blown essay?

Second Question: I wrote my Common App essay about how my family is very different then most and how much I appreciate diversity. How do I answer this question without being repetitive? Do I state somewhere in there, "As I have already articulated in my first essay".. or something along those lines?

bump? pretty please :)

I'm not sure how long they are looking for...the space on the common app for their sup. essay is very small. My essay ended up being quite a bit longer so I mailed mine to them instead of submitting it through the common app. So to answer your question, I would write however much you think is necessary.

I would not put anything in your essay that refers to your common app. essay because if anything that would connect them even further than their already similar topics. I think your are in a tough position, and short of writing a new common app. essay, I would say you would be better off just trying to differentiate them as much as possible.
