Say I get so and so AP credits at UNC charlotte and I Transfer to UNC Chapel hill after doing 40 credit-hrs at UNCC..
Would UNC CH accept all the AP credits given by UNCC or would they refer to the AP scores.

Good question! Someone please answer this!!!!

I believe they refer to the AP scores. For instance, my son did not receive AP credit at his first school for Bio--but did receive them at Chapel Hill as the score required was one point lower.

yeah if they're accepted at charlotte but not at chapel hill, they probably won't transfer.

is there one who is 100% sure???
please..anywhere who had the experience..

cuz if i take a follow-up class...then it would be stupid for them to not give credit because then..my upper level credit will transfer(because i am going to do it @ UNCC)..but the one i got from AP(if it doesnt transfer)...i would have to take it again...

bump!! :)..

They refer to your AP scores.

^^^uh crap!!
but then...would they also deny the credits from the advanced courses which we've taken? (becuz they were taken on basis of the AP credits)

They won't deny the advance courses. If they're transferrable, they'll transfer. If they're not transferrable, they will not transfer.

o ok...
then i say i get chem 102 transfered (or whateva the 2nd chem is..) from UNCC..
then they'll make me take 101??? (i mean that won't make sense cuz if u have an advanced credit...lower class would be useless...but maybe they'll just make me take it :()

I just received a letter from UNC explaining my AP credits. It said to call Bob Patterson at 919-966-6546 for questions about AP evaluations. If he's the one to contact about initial credit, he can probably answer your transfer questions as well.

Thanx soyboy, I will certainly contact him and ask about around about this.

lol..i loose too many credits....(like 12)...its better just not to transfer ;)
