Question and Answers about LSP!

Alix2012 - how far is your commute? is it worth it? I was thinking about doing maybe doing it next year but mine would be like a 45+ minutes commute.

I was recently admitted to NYU’s LSP when I applied to CAS as a Political Science major. But now I’ve decided to become a nurse and was wondering if it would be possible for me to enroll in NYU’s College of Nursing to get a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing after I complete the 2 required years in LSP. I know that I can’t transfer into Stern but can I get into the College of Nursing?

hi um i was just wondering if u could give me the general standards to get accepted into LSP?

like SAT wise?(i am aiming for a 23xx lol) gpa wise(simply horrible. around a 3.3 UW). i know there is more to it than just academics but i wanna set the standards for myself even though i am a junior in hs.

Hey everybody, I have a question. I just got accepted into LSP but I would like to major in International Relations so that’s the main issue right now because NYU has International Relations as an honors major. Is it possible to still major in International Relations if I do LSP ? How hard is it to be selected for the major ? If I don’t get selected for IR, are there any other similar alternatives I could take. What would be the closest major to IR at NYU ? The thing is that I love international politics so much that I can’t see myself doing something else. I would also like to be a diplomat or ambassador (any other majors I could do for this ?).I already passed AP Spanish with a 5, I’m fluent in a couple other languages and am very aware of international politics in general. I am also going to get an internship somewhere my freshmen year if I do end up going to NYU. Any answer is appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Here is what I understand about the LSP program. My son applied for Economics at CAS and was offered LSP. I went to the LSP counselors as a parent and they say that as long as he does not flunk out of LSP he is guaranteed entry into CAS Economics. They also said that you should be able to transfer to most place except Stern and Maybe Tisch. If you have a particular program call the LSP advisors and they will help you. I did this with my son and they mapped out exactly what classes needed to be taken to achieve a timely transfer into CAS.
